The Gas Render is a volumetric voxel shader material that is used to render smoke and fire in a highly realistic manner and is blazing fast. It supports the rendering of any scalar channel.
Technically the renderer is an adaptive single-scattering ray marcher. This
means for every ray that c4d shoots per pixel the renderer will march in
adaptive step lengths along the ray and samples the linked input channel
data while it travels along the ray. At each step it also calculates the
lighting from scene lights and the absorption and scattering effects of the participating media.
It includes single-scattering and multiple scattering effects for highly realistic results.
The shader must be attached to a Cinema 4D environement object in order
to let it also render to the picture viewer.
